Can anyone help with this...
I also have a 22 Convertible and pulled the fuse when the car was turned off.
At initial startup the exhaust is noticeably much louder, however it does seems to quite down once it runs for a bit (maybe 20-30 seconds). Not sure if the valves are closing causing after that or if its the tune once the car warms up.
It does sounds a bit louder while driving with the fuse removed but its no where as loud as first start up.
Maybe someone here can shed some light on what's going on here.
Thanks

What you describe is just the normal vehicle behavior regardless of valve status.

That is just the startup when the engine is revving quite a bit higher for the first 15 seconds or so after that the revs drop a little and the sound quiets. Don't quote me but I think it's because both exhaust valves AND intake valves are open during this sequence, after which the intake valves close and the sound quiets a little. To my understanding there is no way to maintain that initial loud growl beyond that time.

The same happens on my armytrix exhaust which has valves 100% open all the time. The initial cold start is very loud for 15s, then it quiets a bit. If i close the valves at that point it quiets even more.

I was following this video which said there are two plugs on each side. Mine is 2024, I could only find one on each side. Am I missing something?

I just read saw some comments saying even pulling plugs from under the car wont work longer for 2024+ models.

Like it will stay open and later it will close permanently after some time so that you plug them back in for it to open again. Any truth in this?

Did the same. They should stay open as they need the fuse to actually close. Startup is always much louder, but you should notice a good amount more sound in the 3000-4000 range when driving. Honestly open valves are not a huge difference but does sound better/louder, especially if you have a convertible and get to hear things more clearly. Agree, sounds normal.

[img alt="…and here’s the magic blue pill! Removing it increased warm idle sound energy by 2 or 3 decibels (A-weighted scale). 2018 LC500, 37,000 miles. Big difference until you get the gas open hard, when the muffler valves would be open anyway. OBD showed no codes with this fuse pulled. Car sounds even more fantastical than it did stock, but no change I am aware of re fuel economy.
Lots easier than unplugging connections under the car. "]https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clublexus.com-vbulletin/920x2000/img_5145_4673712df71d2c2b355bca359cc2e4013e808749.png[/img]

Sorry. Here’s the magic blue pill: 15-amp fuse. Photo didn’t originally post.

After almost three years of thinking about it, forgetting about it, and putting it off, I finally pulled the fuse on my 2021. I drove the car for the second time yesterday. It has a little more volume, sounds fine to me, so I think I’ll leave the fuse out.

I enjoy doing this type of "hacking" stuff! Hopefully a few other people can benefit. I will post all the designs and code once I am finished so other people can recreate it.
I will have further updates of my findings/development in this thread if anyone is curious.
Hey there, I'm Tim, the guy from Okinawa, Japan who was trying to buy your exhaust valve remote control through Etsy back in December. After I consulted you about APO shipping and placed my order, Etsy decided to cancel the order and suspend my account for no known reason, presumably because they thought I was some kind of fraud. Etsy customer service initially responded when I tried to get my account reopened, but once I sent them the information they requested to verify I was the actual account owner, they stopped replying, and I still can't log in to my account. No idea what's going on there. In the meantime, I had left a comment on your Youtube video about installation of the controller to get you to reach out to me, but I don't think you've seen it yet, or I missed your email if you sent me one. And on this forum, I don't see any way at all to send you a personal message, hence my posting in this thread in hopes that you'll get a notification.

But anyways, I would still love to purchase the controller from you. If there's a way to PM me here, please do that, or email me at uchinanchuu58 at gmail. I have Paypal (through a different email address) if that's the best way for you to receive the payment.
