2026 MY Announcement Released
very true, ordering an “average” base 911 is much more bespoke experience than the bespoke lc
I built an 911 on their site. Had no idea of what all the options entailed and did not specify much add-ons. Was not diligent in trying to research (ok). I came up with 160K. I keep hammering the "Toyota-Way" of production v consumer satisfaction is a-foot in this forest. A trade-off? Don't get me wrong. It was the worst buying experience of my life. P.S. there is a pinch of Southern drama. Not much

True! Porsche and Ferrari will let you actually build a custom car to your liking, they will itemize you to the moon however. The LC 500 actually comes very well equipped and is a marvelous car. If they could just find a workable method to permit more individual selection of options/ interior colors it’d be nearly perfect! I’m still definitely buying one in a few months. I’ve owned 5 Lexus vehicles and it’s time to get this flagship.
you get done w leather, upgrades etc the 911 was ~ 150k; man they must charge you for the german air in those tires !
glad i went w my LC; way more comfortable on long cruises ; besides, who wants uncomfortable performance ?
my experience exactly. i was comfortably considering both, as the 911 was close to the LC list, but when

Have to talk to a Formula One driver, of which you are not, I presume, nor I for sure for the answer. Then there is that sliding scale down from sheer performance to the balance that fulfills. Where it stops, only the driver knows. Perfect at my house.

Understood. I’m pretty familiar with Porsche and genuinely respect the brand and its mission. In my opinion it’s built to a higher standard of quality than the other German manufacturers. I just believe that the LC 500 in terms of overall built quality, craftsmanship and fit/ finish, NVH attributes etc. is on a higher tier. Those features are very high priorities for me. It just depends on what the individual buyer is searching for. Porsche has undoubtedly earned its esteemed status but isn’t the best choice for my specific needs compared to the LC 500.

I love the color combo on the pic of the 2026 convertible (cloudburst gray/toasted caramel - my 2023 build with a black top). I was told at the time, only a handful of '23's were configured that way (and I'm not selling mine ever). Thanks for posting the links!

I wonder if the return of the carbon fiber spoiler has something to do with that. That was not a cheap replacement item on the earlier models, 5 figure cost for the part!
