I don't like what lexus did to LC in terms of ext/int color choices. They are so limiting. Lexus has come up with some great colors both in and out yet decided to not offer them as regular color options. This is mind boggling considering the status of the car in their line-up. For example, what if I like the wind color but don't like the saddle brown interior, or vice versa. Or I'm into coupe but want the convertable color or vise versa. Worst thing is these colors are not even offered in bespoke build, which is a joke. I was gonna order one since I miss my 2018 LC, but the color choices are so disgusting I decided not to.

I would have also been keen to upgrade my LC to a 2026 if they offered Molten Orange (which I’ve posted many times already, I know)

@jimmychengca
I share the same sentiment. The LC 500 is the Lexus halo car and cost $100K+. Exterior choices aren’t expansive but they do offer nice colors. The interior scheme options are much too limited and more customization should be available. This shortcoming is not enough to turn me away from a purchase as there are far more positives than negatives. Lexus could/ should do better with this exemplary automobile.

This car Is built is small volume and a good portion by hand. Customize preferences can be accommodated under these conditions at the Motomachi facility.

I cant figure why they like white interiors so much,,,maybe they dont have to clean their own cars,,,,,anything white in interior is a deal breaker for me.

I have total sympathy with and respect for these comments. I admit to being a new member to the world-class automobile owners group but believe my LC qualifies me. I do not have the background experience with vehicles of this automobile-class so many of this forum's members have and cannot comment on customization offered on competing new vehicles. I did research and fell for the LC to meet my desire/wants/needs and got whiplash over a price I could afford. Just saying building a model-T one way (one color/engine/interior, etc) vs having it your way MAY figure into final price. I found "standard" choices adequate.

In reviewing the way these announcements are worded, it seems like they may offer the Smoke Matte Gray as a standard color choice. I would be very excited to do a Bespoke in Matte with a tan or even red interior! I can skip the atrocious Inspiration wing and canards.

Not when you look at the detailed specs table, it’s clear there that the Smoke Matt Gray is only on the Inspiration coupes… sorry!

Looks like US Tariffs will be 15% on Japanese imports compared to the current 2.5%.

I don’t think the 26 MY is going to sell quickly with that massive price increase (I’m expecting at least 7% increase in MSRP minimum)…

I haven’t seen anything definitive from Lexus yet about how this tariff change might impact pricing. When I placed my bespoke order recently, I was told the price listed would be honored, even if the car ends up as a 2026 MY. Of course, nothing is guaranteed until delivery, but my sense is that Lexus would give buyers a heads-up before springing a major increase.

If you’ve got a link or source confirming that 15% tariff and how it’s being handled by Toyota/Lexus, that would be helpful.

When I took delivery of a LC500 this month, I was told by the sales manager that Toyota/Lexus were absorbing the 25% auto tariffs since April while the Japanese government was in ongoing negotiations with the US on more definitive trade terms in anticipation of the August 1 deadline. Now that this has occurred, I can touch base with him to see if they received any new guidance on what Lexus/Toyota corporate plans do to in context of these finalized trade talks and 15% tariffs.

I don't have a link for Toyota...but The US/Japan announced yesterday that the new import tariffs will be 15% on Japanese cars....so I am guessing/expecting Lexus to add that as a line item at import just like Porsche has done (ZTR Line below):

Porsche doesn't build any of its vehicles in the US (or even Canada or Mexico), unlike Lexus and Toyota. Thus far, as noted, Toyota/Lexus has chosen to eat the extra cost themselves - how they might spread the eventual pain across their line-up will be interesting to see, but simply adding the cost straight through to the customer wouldn't make much sense, as it would mess up the relative pricing scale of their models, depending on where they are built...

There are more pics from the announcement for Japan model.
There might be some differences like the brake caliper color, but it should serve as a good reference. It's called PINNACLE over there.
