These look great! I think the LC looks so much better with quad tips instead of the stock cover.

Just for anyone else's awareness who wants to swap the cutouts for tips - the black lower diffuser portion does NOT need to come out. I did everything noted with a 10mm socket and a 6" extension with a 1/4" ratchet, and a flathead screwdriver (or pry tool) for the clips and grommets.

Step 1) Undo the push clips on the black cover that is underneath and behind the exhaust tips. I believe there are 4 of them. Undo the 2 10mm bolts at the bottom of the cover that connect to the chrome surround.
Step 2) Undo the recessed 10mm plastic bolt that is towards the very back of the black surround. It is recessed so you will need a socket extension to get it. After you undo this bolt the black surround will drop, the bolt stays attached to the cover
Step 3) Undo the 4 bolts mentioned in the below photograph. They are all BLACK. Do not undo any of the silver ones with the phillips head marking, those are not connected to the piece you are trying to remove. The two bottom bolts are fairly easy to get to, the two top bolts are more challenging, but still doable. Just be patient and wrench them a quarter turn at a time.
Step 4) After removing each of the bolts they leave behind a plastic grommet in the bolt hole that they seated into. These are easy to remove with the tip of the flathead screwdriver, just pry them up slightly so they are loose if you don't want to remove them entirely. The only grommet I couldn't easily get to was on the bolt that was the hardest to get to, you'll know it (top right one as pictured below). You can leave it in as long as you got the others, and then just muscle it out at the very end in step 5.
Step 5) If you got all the grommets, the chrome piece will now be loose and you can twist and turn it to wiggle it out. If you left that one grommet in place, you'll have to muscle it towards the front of the car initially to get that grommet out, then you can wiggle the whole piece around the tailpipes and out

Took me an hour total.

Not to hijack OP thread but here just completed my install. It started pouring as you can see so I'll take more proper pics another time rather than taking the car out in the rain for pictures. Personally I love how it livens up the rear, but of course everyone's opinions are different. These are 4" polished tips with carbon fiber shell, and I ceramic coated everything before putting them on. pics from various angles:

Are you guys doing anything with the jagged surrounding and does it look like this on the other side of the tips? The pictures I am finding are too dark in that area. I like the tips but I may have to replace the rear diffuser if I do this.

This would drive me nuts, let me know if you find a way to resolve this!

Yes it will look like that post install because the black cover below the surrounds is gone, and that is one of the mounting points for that cover. It only has this on the center diffuser piece at the ends where you see it in the picture, it is not the same on the outside side of the tips.

I plan to dremel mine off eventually, but honestly it doesn't bother me that much. The guy who sold me my tips has a template he provides that can allow you to make a triangular "molding" that would fit into the gap and cover it up but I don't plan on doing it. I do plan to eventually replace the entire diffuser at some point.

I was hoping you would post more pics. I really can't see the tips very well and don't see which part is the carbon fiber shell.

Please forgive the stupid question: Why ceramic coat the tips?

Yes they are glossy carbon fiber, ceramic makes them easier to clean.

They look great!. The carbon fiber takes them to a whole new level.
Took a look at my tips and wondered why can't the pipes be tipped without removing the chrome surround? Probably be less visible?

They can be you just will be limited to a smaller tip and need to make sure the whole thing will fit with the cover that's underneath and then through the chrome surround. IMO I think it looks cleaner with no surround, but it doesn't look "bad" thru the surrounds either, just busier to me personally. examples below (not my car)
