Default Iphone not connecting to Bluetooth Audio

My Iphone 7 connects fine to the Bluetooth for phone calls through the speakers but when I try to connect to Bluetooth Audio to listen to my podcasts it fails to connect and says to check my device for problems. It's weird because my Iphone 6s connect fine and now the Iphone 7 won't connect whatever I do. Anyone run into this issue?

Have you tried to completely unpair the phone (both connections) and repair?

I could be wrong here, but I had the same issues with my Galaxy S8+ and Note 8. No problems pairing for phone calls, but no go on BT audio for music. My Galaxy S7 Edge and S6 Edge no problems at all for both phone calls or BT audio. I believe your iPhone like my newer galaxy devices has the latest bluetooth standards and do not appear to be backwards compatible with ther older bluetooth version on our IS-F

That's strange. I connect my iPhone 7 to my 2011 IS-F daily and have no issues with phone calls or streaming music.

Must be an issue with my device.

I went to http://www.lexus.com/mobilelink/ and checked to see if my car is compatible with my device for Bluetooth Audio and it says it is.

I have 2010 IS-F. Not sure if bluetooth revisions changed on 2011+ models or not

I had this problem before too. Youll have to separately sync it for calls and Bluetooth music.

Can you elaborate please? I have my phone synced for calls and they work no problems. But no Audio streaming. I have a 2011 ISF.

They are under two different setup menus. Bluetooth audio should be somewhere under audio, I think phone audio is under Phone? Not intuitive but if you dig you should find it. I have both set up on my 2011 and they work fine although one of them randomly breaks and I have to repair sometimes (usually only one or the other for some reason....)

further clarification: they are paired separately for some reason, hence the two setups

I managed to get all my newer Galaxy devices to connect to BT audio. You have to register BT audio seperately after you register call audio. I had two other previous devices registered in BT audio also, so I removed one and I was able to connect
