Question What Size Volks to get

So I'm in the market for new shoes, I've always loved the Volks TE37s and was thinking of one of the below:

TE37 SL
TE37 Ultra

I mainly want these to help on the track, so I want a size that's light and to be able to add wider tires on the rears for traction, like 285s or wider.

OEM wheels as it stands are:
Front: 19x8" 245/35
Rears: 19x9" 275/35

Now the dilemma I'm having is whether to got for 18s to help with weight or stick with 19s?

Second dilemma is to go I got for 8.5" up front and 9.5" or 10" wide in the rears? or stick with the OEM widths?

For those who track their car or at least take it to the 1/4 mile can you shed some light as to what setup (size wise) on these wheels you would suggest?

NOT MY CAR

saw it on FB and he's running 18x10 +40 all around, no sure what size tires but there's a supercharged ISF running almost the same spec wheels with 275/35 front and 285/35 rear

Im in same boat as you.. I want new wheels and debating if I should stick to my 19s or run those te37 18x10 and meaty tires. Currently I'm on works 19x9.5 +22 19x10.5+29 with 255/275 tires but I want it to be more meaty and grippy

Thanks for the pics and info mate,

wow 18x10 all around and 275s up front now that's a big step up in terms of width up front.

I don't know if I'd like to go as wide on the fronts, but good to see someone running these specs on an ISF.

For the track, I'd advise 18s. It will help when cornering and accelerating. Some, including myself, opted for 18s on the track because the weight difference is noticeable. As for the wheels, that's completely up to you and your preference. The TE37 family is such a classic look, one that will never go out of style, I think. 18s are a lot cheaper to replace than 19s- that's for sure. And the selection is far greater.

I'd advise the 18s for the street as well. Especially considering the speeds I'd imagine you reach in your location. Are you still on the stock 2013 suspension? I've seen 18 x 10 front & rear with a 42 mm offset used on the f with 245 & 265 tires lowered on Swift springs & a nice street alignment.

I can't coments on te37's but recently I searched for track set ups and few reputable members are running or adviced on running Enkei PF01 18's/+45mm, 9.5"with 285/30/18 tires as square track set up. Stock hights, no fender modifications, no rubbing, nothing. Pretty surprised that those will fit upfront but that's what recomended.

Thanks for the info and updates.

I always figured square setups are mainly good for 4wd cars and not rwd but I guess that's not neccessarily the case on the track.

I think I'll be going with 18x9.5 +45 255/35 up front I should be ok in terms of clearance.

The rears have the following options 18x10 +40 or 18x10.5 +20

Will offsets of +20 with 285 tires in the rear rub? I'm worried about it rubbing on the suspensions arms or wheel arches

That front fitment will be perfect but the 18x10.5 +20 rear will not fit at all. definitely go with the 10 +40!
