You have to realize you said a few grand. Ok, fine, i give you that. But remember the capabilities of what they are trying to offer. And how much is a piggyback safc neo? Cobb etune with port access? Reflash on domestics? GreddyEmanage? AEM? And what are they capable of doing? Just start there, and go on up. Youll see in the end, power demands will be high and the only way to go will be through them. At least for the isf.

i am by no means attacking the product, i'm just simply pointing out the fact that it won't be as cheap as some may think. there will definitely be a price shock for some when the final price is revealed.

there were people that balked at the price of what novel was charging with only a speculation of what their solution entails.

By the time a bug-free tuning solution is out on the market I'll be rolling on a 2nd generation ISF. These companies took too long to step in, a new ISF powerplant will be out within 2 years.

 

Maybe, but there are plenty of people who will find a cheap used 1st gen ISF and tune it if the total price is comparable to other vehicles they're looking at. You can get an ISF for under $30k now so that introduces it to a new customer base (ahem, the Evo crowd, ahem) who may be more into modding.

 

Where can u get an F for under $30k now? Maybe one with 100k miles if ur lucky

It would be a high mileage 08 for sure. Most with clean titles but not all. But they've started to show up under $30k on occasion. Figure another 6 months to a year for tuning, and it'll be more and more common.

 

The guy in the video for the "chipped" IS F in Salt Lake City for sale looks like he should be on that Teen Mom show on MTV. Shady as hell yet people are bidding on that car on eBay
