I started to do my data logging last night in preparation for some mods when I noticed that my tps isn't opening 100%. This was the first time I actually looked at this information during a pull, but im kinda surprised that its not a little higher. Does anyone have any logs of before and after a throttle controller modification? My thinking is that if the Toms/Blitz controllers actually do as advertised, the TPS should open 100%...
Below is the video from the test.
- 75 Degree Night
-Rollon from 85-155ish ( 5th gear ends around 150mph)
-TPS stayed at 81.2%
I wonder if the apex controller works and gives you 100% throttle: i know for emmissions purposes gm has their thrttle limited to @ the same. Its not until it gets tuned that it will go 100% good find.
1. Get in car.
2. Turn the key to the accessory position
3. Press the gas pedal to the floor with the key in the accessory position.
4. Hold the pedal to the floor for five seconds, then turn the key back to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
5. Wait 2 mins for a full alignment.
6. Drive the car as you always do.
I have also monitored the sensors on mine via laptop connection. That is about the same max tps that I got as well. Same thing as on my friends Scion. It might be a Toyota thing. My GM truck opens 100%.

I know that with the LS tuner programs, they had problems with some of them reading that the TPS was only open 95%. It was an issue with the reading and not with the physical throttle body. I'm sure we are fine
just done some data logging on my ISF ( different scan tool than MR SLAY's) and got the same result...WOT was only reading 80 %...so my question is, has anyone data logged with a throttle controller to see if it actually gets 100% ?
To test men what you could do is figure out the actual output of the TPS if anyone has that data, and see if the data logger actually has the capability to read that input or higher, and see if the input is clipping do to blitz etc. If the data loggers input is hitting the rail could be the problem. Also, test the full scale input of the data logger if it is working properly or some calibration is required to set full scale of your data logger, and send the same input into the data logger. and/or vice versa for the actual output of the TPS is correct, but doubt anyone has any data to make that inference.
