So I have done this with rental cars and trucks but I have had cars and trucks in neutral press the gas to the floor and then shift to drive pretty much launching the car. What would happen if I did it with the f. I don't want to kill my car but what happens if I do it transmission wise?

Try it, let me know how it goes. Post pictures, take video, and do a DIY! Lol don't do it man, don't risk anything. It's a Lexus, not a ricer
That's a neutral drop. Dumbest thing you can do to a transmission. This car has loads of power, read the threads here by the drag racers. The best launch is to just step on the gas.
I was just asking a question. No need for immature responses.
I am one to not normally jump on a persons ... but this may be the dumbest question I have EVER seen posted on this forum! More inline with a question a 13 year old would ask, and not an adult consideration. What would happen if you smacked your hand with a hammer? IT WOULD HURT LIKE HE**!! If you neutral drop the transmission the chances are pretty good you are going to break something! The shock of 350+ lbs of torque being applied to a idling drive line could result in many broken bits!
Tell your local Lexus Service Manager that you did that, you need a tow to the shop and ask if it's covered under warranty and see what he says. Let us know if it's not too profane to post here.
I dont think the car will lauch if you do that due to a safety feature that is in our cars.. same as if you are driving and drop it to reverse... the rear camera just appears. Dont take my word for it though.....

And that folks is reason No. 1 to never buy a rental car

FWIW, i tried this in, i believe, 08 (newest body style) camry (rental) and it just brought the revs down to normal and didn't peel out at all so i assume this same thing would probably happen in our cars but i ain't gonna try...
