Brought my ISF to shop to install jammer and hardwire the V1 radar. They told me now its not possible as they cannot get electricity from the car. The ISF computer is too intelligent and will throw a short circuit signal to the dash if you try to get power from and electrical source.

Anyone have a solution?
Fuse tap from auto store. Took me about 10 min including running the wire through the passenger a pillar and tucking it between the windshield and head liner. 100% non visible until the wire pops out right by the rear view mirror. Use the cigarette lighter fuse spot.
So if power is obtained thru the cigarette lighter fuse spot, no error at all? so can i get both jammer n radar power from lighter?
my bad, what is fuse tap?
A fuse tap allows you to safely get power from any fuse box. I'm assuming its enough power for the jammer also. Its been powering my V1 since October with no issues.
Where do you guys get power from? In particular which fuse would be safest?
Not trying to be a **** head, but at this point you may not personally want to do this on your car if you dont know how after our post. Cartoys, Best buy, and most big car audio chains can do this for you. I'd rather you not mess up your car somehow so better safe than sorry.
Thanks guys, brought the car to another installer and everything worked out. Apparently, the shop didn't want to work on my ISF as he probably isn't familiar with it.
