Code C2172 (TPMS)
I left and started driving home, the TPMS light came on solid.
Got home, check for nails, nothing was found.
Next morning, inflated all tires to 36 psi. Mind you the 2 front TPMS sensors are new, they were installed last year.
Grabbed my Autel TS508WF and scanned all sensors.
Right Rear - completely dead, no reading, no voltage.
Left Rear - Reads but shows battery is very low.
DTC Found: C2172 "Transmitter ID not registered (2nd)"
Consulted factory manual, got to step 9, apparently there is a switch, I believe the circular one with the two arrows on both sides.

2. Ordered 2 new OEM sensors from Lexus.
3. Removed both rear wheels/tires, took to the tire shop, had them remove the old sensors, install the new ones.
4. Got home last night, re-installed the wheels back on the car, Lowered the car, torqued to 76 lbs/ft
5. Activated the Autel --> Advanced Mode --> Sensor Re-learn.
6. All sensors being detected.
7. Connected to OBD port, turned ignition to ON, wrote data to ECU.
8. Turned ignition OFF, Turned Ignition ON again, Cleared DTC. Turned Ignition OFF, disconnected cable from the OBD port.
9. Started the car, went on a 7 mile drive, TPMS light is still on solid.
Can someone help me to resolve this? I am assuming the error is referring to a 2nd set of tires??? I don't have a 2nd set of tires.
Step 9 in the factory manual for this code says something about the switch, I suppose between the Main set of tires and a 2nd set of tires. What should I do to resolve this and get rid of the code?
Thank you.

The satellite switch is used to cycle through to the TPMS setting for which set of tires you are running and set it to main or 2nd. Page 348 in your owner's manual shows the satellite switch location and page 421 describes the setting process.

Does this mean the car is expecting the sensor ID values for the 2nd mode and just not receiving them because the switch is set to main?
