Visiting the dealership now as both key fobs stopped working after I changed the vehicle lock settings. 😐

I have a thread regarding the same issue. In my case I had my old Lexus keys and new IS 500 keys while configuring stuff and then the IS fobs stopped working. The dealer can reflash it and it'll work just fine afterwards. Key note, do not configure anything while having two different Lexus fobs on you, guess it confuses the system.

ALRIGHTY - So when you say your key fob stopped working, you mean for locking/unlocking your car. It still recognizes the car with the push button start right?!

@wthrman2 Yeah. I changed the light and lock settings with the key fob inside my pocket. When I stepped out of the vehicle, both key fobs stopped working. I can manually lock and unlock the car, but the controls do not work from a distance.
@Benibiker1558 I just read the post. Dealership said this is the first time they heard of this issue. I did reference your post, but they said they have to do a full diagnostic of the car.
Will post updates after I get the car back. They did give me a nice loaner so I can’t complain. 🤩

Yes it still recognized the car and the door sensors still worked. It was just the unlock/lock on the fob that stopped working. They did a quick 30 minute reflash using TechStream.

I think it's a software/firmware bug. There's something in the vehicle settings and customizations (lights, locking). The tech had to resync the key fobs.
Unrelated to that, ever since they fixed it, I can't change the temperature from *F to *C anymore. I'm absolutely sure I could do that before. That setting should be unlocked for US cars.
