No rear shade, at this point? Do they think Canadians are void of sun? Saw a historical video on the ES recently, and the same sunshade used today, was introduced in the late 90s. Clearly it’s not a technological marvel, everyone should have it, regardless of country.

^^ I think they left it out in Canada fearing all the shennanigans I would be doing in the back if I had a shade to give me cover ... that MUST be it

Does anyone have a pic of the analog clock between the air vents on the UE? I read that it has some red accents and am curious what it looks like.

Thanks!

Should look something like this which is from the IS 500 Climax edition promo photo. Climax Edition is what the Ultimate Edition is called in Japan.

Valid point but it seems companies like to keep certain features region specific which I feel is kinda dumb. It only took 26 years for North America to get power folding mirrors. Also as a USA owner I’d rather have the headlamp sprayers instead of the sunshade. Never really used on the 250 definitely have no use on the 500. Am I the odd one here?

Yeah, it is weird to me that they would bother making 40 UE differently for Canada - You would think the economy of scale would be cheaper to produce them all the same but what I do I know! I don't really need the rear shade but I don't need teh headlight washers either as my car never gets dirty. If I was a normal person driving mine in all types of weather, I would say that I would have more use for the headlight washers.

^^ That is what I am thinking too - I just wish the registry thread that was created would have been populated like it was for the LE. It was cool to see where the numbers were going and such but it seems this UE doesn't have the same buzz but likely because it's being phased out rather than when it was created

Love the sunshade! use it all the time. works great at night to keep from getting blinded by the high intensity lights in my rear view mirror
