Yeah, I'm not sure a snowy day and icy roads is the best stage for describing the experience of driving a RWD, front engine, V8 muscle car. Maybe this guy was running low on his youtube quotas for the month and needed to get something out there. LOL.

Sleepy Garage indeed, that guy could have put me to sleep. They will truly give anyone a car to review if you have enough subscribers.

LOL! In 4 years, I can count on one hand how many times my car was caught in the rain. Running around in snowy/icy country is anxiety inducing for sure! 👍🏽

One, I would never drive my IS 500 in snow, and two if I HAD I would be very thankful for my wider tires. Thank you...Please drive thru.

With the right tires you guys would do fine in the snow. I've driven in 4 inch snow several times. The Michelin PS4 all seasons did good every time.

Car does fine in snow with winter tires. Have done it last 3 winters.

I am sure it would be fine, I drove a Pontiac Acadian back in the 80s and I live in a very snowy region and never had an issue. It's just that I could never subject my UE to such abuse, I swear I treat that car better than I do my wife (lol)

There is no question the IS500 does fine in the snow with winter tires, but doing a youtube review of the car in those conditions? The guy is literally doing full throttle starts, spinning the tires, going aggressively around corners, wobbling or near losing the rear-end multiple times, etc. On dry pavement, you run the risk of losing control of the car, forget about on icy snowy conditions

Yea doing a YouTube review in those conditions is not a good idea. I guess he had a narrow window to get the review done.

Here's the after the fix. Not a great pic, but in person I could not find where the curb rash was. I'm pleased.

Actually, I guess I know where the damage was. Out from the elbow in the "L" badge. Better yet, from the stem. Looks perfect.

As a sidenote, I am not sure why my tires are so discolored. From the sun?

Mine are like that too. At random intervals these light brownish patches appear then disappear.

I guess it's just a quirk of these tires? I rode on Bridgestones for 20 years and I don't remember them ever being discolored.

Btw, the repair looks great!
