YUP!! There’s only 59 units identified for 2022 & 2023 (combined US, Canada, & PR); so plaque or no plaque, they’ll win the ‘rarest’ argument every. single. time.

 

The takeaways that caught my attention are:

• They mention black trim on the mirror. About damn time. No reason why you guys can get black window trim but you still had chrome on the mirror. I suspect it'll probably be a $50 part for each side and install is super simple (source: I know, I took my mirror apart lol)
• The wording is a bit vague but it seems the Special Appearance package will have blue stitching on the actual seats and dash perhaps? Unlike the 2023 SAP which only had orange on the key gloves and carpet mats.
• The return of the SmartAccess Key Card. Thank god. I can never go back to driving a car without one.
• Preach the lords, Grecian is gone. Sorry not sorry lol. I'm more sad about Atomic Silver being dropped. That was such a beautiful color and it was the color I was always set on if I ever made the switch to a 500.
• They mention an IS300 F Sport. I no likey. Now I have to actually look at the numbers on the back to tell whereas before I just knew that if it had the gloss black diffuser, the F Sport badge, and the F Sport Front Bumper, it was a 350, not a 300. And you best know some people will just get the 300 and debadge it and maybe even upbadge it.

 

So in other words no shocking updates just some fiddling with the colors a bit as expected. So those of you holding out for the next gen tech can give up now and get a '23 if it is in your dealers lot.

 

How much is the MSRP price increase for the 2024 IS500?

Assuming it is true that the 2024 IS500 is the last year of the IS500. Doesn't it make sense if Lexus made a numbered car "Final Edition"? It would be cool.

 

I would expect you to sell yours and buy that one too.

 

Yeah I am not sure how to feel about having IS 300 F Sport again. People already mock the lower-trim ISes with F Sport for being all show and no go, a problem which was solved by limiting F Sport to only the 350 and above. However, I will say Canada has had the 300 F Sport in this generation the whole time, so whatever... at least it's consistent if this news it true.

 

With Grecian Water.removed for MY24, i have to choose between Incognito or Clourburst Gray. Looks like my desire of owning my first light blue car will still be a dream.

 

Am I guessing you do not want the Blue Vector color?

 

Blue Vector and UBM are a bit darker for my liking, at least in the pictures so far.
