they've been like that since MY22. what's really cool is the confirmation of the black chrome trim on the mirrors...def getting those pieces.

 

when building a 24 is500 on lexus website, the special appearance package is the blue vector color with matching black nuluxe seats with blue accents. $3600 add on instead of just being able to choose that color.

 

just like the molten creamcicle; but confirmed no suede in the special appearance package

 

Imagine paying an extra $3670 for Toyota quality paint and color. Bet it doesn't even have more than 3 layers.

I believe it was the same thing! 3600.00, but keep in mind they are also putting on the BBS wheels, so that is a chunk of it.

I'm so glad they brought back the chrome color accents around the vents and clock for 2024. I absolutely HATED the dark 2023 trim.

 

No news on the Canadian side of the market. Was the 2023 Special Appearance package exclusive for the US side only? 🧐

 

I always thought the dark trim was one of the better changes. Thought the light looked cheap.

 

that said, if you look at the 2023 and 2024 interior pictures they are the same color. Might just be lighting.

I think so, cuz we never got the 23MY Molten Pearl IS500, the only special appearance package we ever got in canada is for the IS350...

 

Shame the Launch Edition uniqueness is now significantly diminished given you can now get (the no longer exclusive) Incognito exterior and BBS wheel combination on the MY24, interior materials and production number badging notwithstanding. Not so unique given the Launch Edition exterior is second in quantity only to Ultra White...

 

The wheels were never unique as far as I'm aware. The interior is what made the LE worth the price difference.

 

Lexus dropped the press release for those who are curious, but if you go to related images and scroll to the bottom, they show Molten Pearl instead of Blue Vector and the image tag notes it as a 2024 model .

I agree, Lexus did the Incognitos dirty. Before the Moltens, it was the only color you knew was an IS500 on sight. The exclusiveness, in my opinion, was the exterior and interior.
