A rep told me that they might discontinue the V8 after this year and go to a turbocharged V6. But that’s just what he’s been hearing. That’s all I got so far
this is pretty much what I’ve been hearing as well at my dealership. There’s a possibility they’ll keep the name plate and just use the same engine found in the LS in the IS chassis. I would like to see it actually happen tho.
So what is the HP number you guys would need to ditch the V8 and get the TTV6?
My mom has the LS 500 and that motor pulls well in her heavy *** car.... I think I'd need upper 500s for sure. I don't think I'd ditch my V8 for 40-50 more hp. I'd want a sub 4 sec 0-60 and sub 12 sec 1/4 mile.

Throttle response and turbo lag in the V35A-FTS are awful - there is no amount of money, horsepower or torque that could make me want it over the 2UR-GSE. It’s why I bought this engine.
This going around in Facebook. Not sure if it’s true
It is true indeed. Grecian water and Atomic Silver are gone, Incognito returns as a standard color and the Blue Vector is the new special edition color.

Like, if I really think about it, this car doesn't leave me wanting in power - it's more sometimes I feel the throttle response or the transmission or something feels like it's damping the responsiveness. I was thinking something like a Pedal Commander or Apexi Throttle Controller might be able to solve that problem. Once I pull the trigger on that and get it installed, I'll come back to that question.
I had heard about incognito returning. Did not think it would since it was a limited color initially. What did I know. Well my Atomic Silver will start to be a slimmer piece of the pie now so that is cool. Do not understand the Blue Vector, it is so close to Grecian Water. Perhaps Blue Vector will have a Lexus twist.

I've always loved Atomic Silver - one of the best colors Lexus makes. I was looking at one at the same time as my Infrared one. I could've easily ended up with that color instead.
I agree, Blue Vector seems strange what with two other blue colors on offer. I would've loved Nori Green or Flare Yellow as special edition colors.

They have unlocked a tune for the LC500 and are working on the is500. With a tune, exhaust and headers this thing will be fast and probably more reliable than TTV6

Yes I would have liked to have seen a few colors added such as what you mentioned or maybe matador red , amethyst, copper crest, nightfall mica. or that very good looking burgundy color they had maybe 15 years ago. It was rare and super cool looking. I think it would look classy and sporty on a 4 dr sedan.
