Sorry for late reply! I sold my IS350 (my fleet is a new Honda Clarity and my baby, the S2000 CR), hence I'm not active on this board anymore. I still make the adapters as a side hustle.
I would no longer recommend this adapter for Lexus owners without the plastic cover at the base of the rear view mirror (covering the lane keep assist, etc). There isn't too much room under the wire cover to make this install easy. It's cramped as heck and you'll find yourself pulling back at the headliner and stuffing the adapter under the plastic cover to make it fit. It's doable, but using the two-pronged adapters instead works MUCH more smoothly, trust me, I've done this a lot.
For the rest of you, I'm producing a run of the adapters with a new USB module (better performance) and it now resembles more of a 'break-out' style harness... this was done to allow easier routing under the plastic cover. Same pin-out before and compatible with various Lexus / current gen Toyota Prius etc and others. There's only gonna be 100 of these adapters available, ETA is last week of May.
I'm strangely overly excited for a dash cam dongle lol. Some of the Gamin dash cams add some driver safety tech, looking forward to adding one with a clean easy install. (Lane departure and a brake warning)
I just tucked mine under where the roof liner meets the windshield, down the A-pillar liner, then under and across the passenger-side floor mat, up the side of and into the arm rest, and finally into the armrest outlet.
If you stick your fingers behind the various liners in the Lexus, you'll see they work nicely for quick and dirty DIY like this.
