LED upgrade
What’s guys/gals my wife just traded her NX200 for a 2019 IS300F sport. One thing that’s shes really upset about Are the interior lights and approach lights (side mirror). They are not LED (white) and more of that dim orange/yellow color.
I’m a Jeep guy and really have no idea about interior led dome lights , what kind where to buy....I don’t even know if I can replace the side mirror approach lights. She’s looks for a white led color. If you guys need pictures I can get them posted by tonight.
Thanks

There have been a lot of threads about changing out existing bulbs to LEDs... here's one: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ior-light.html
I thought the 2019 IS interior lighting was actually LEDs and not the standard/regular bulbs? As far as the puddle lights for your side mirrors, you can replace them and others have on here but the bulbs are difficult to get to I've read. There are several websites that offer LED replacements and I believe they're direct swap outs, so nothing you'd need to fiddle around with electrical wiring. I'd just recommend some quality LEDs since you do get what you pay for.

For mirrors, 194 wedge bulbs, I use these on all my cars. Stuff and puff. Pure white. no ricer blue.
For interior dome lights, trunk light, door lights, these are universal one size fits all. i stuff and puff these in all locations. super bright
i even got red ones for my doors. made my IS look extremely euro!

To replace nearly all interior lights including the trunk takes about 13 bulbs i believe all T10. Including the side mirrors should be like 15 T10 bulbs. If you want like a natural white, superbrightleds is a good place and shipping is pretty quick.
As for outside only the turn signals are replaceable 7440 and 7443, I can send the link for those LED bulbs with built-in resistors.

If you're still looking for a guide, I followed this video by PrecisionLED when I did mine:
I used some t10 led's i had, and for the trunk, I actually drilled a small hole in the housing, and passed a led lighting strip into the trunk area mounted with velcro.
Also, if anybody is curious, the little lamp assembly, plastic housing thing, the "Luggage Lamp" is pn 81250-30210
It's roughly $30-40 ish dollars after shipping etc. I drilled into mine already having a spare,

From personal experience, I replace the hardest to get to bulb in the side mirror with a phillip bulb that is more pricey but supposed to last a lot longer and just replace all other bulbs with regular 10-15 for 10 piece LED bulb and they all work just as well. Been about half a year now and running great.

Pole Position
My cheap LED bulbs that I put in the side mirrors for the puddle lights are still going strong after a year.
