Retrofitting Lexus Intuitive Parking
Anyone tried retrofitting the Lexus Intuitive system in their 3IS? The F sport package doesn't come with it for the 2017s. I know someone over from the RX forum retrofitted theirs. Just find it weird they don't have it prior to 2018s when all the German Rivals have both the camera and sensors. During heavy snow and rain the camera is pretty useless.

During heavy snow the sensors are useless on the Germans as well. As nice as it would be, I much prefer cameras. I'd love to have the camera hide away like the new vw golf so it doesn't get as dirty. Beatsonic makes a front camera as well, I'm just trying to figure out how I can make it hide away when not in use before I buy it haha

If you find more info on this let me know.. I might be interested in doing this as well. Pretty sure we can use OEM parts to get this working, I did see some harnesses capped out in the front bumper.

Wait... Lexus doesn't include parking sensors in the 2017 F-Sport for the US market?
I do actually own an European 2017 IS F-Sport and it does include the parking sensors. Though if I am honest... they are a bit crap. You need to be too close (in my opinion) for them to activate. My old VW group car had a more trustworthy system. First because you could just press a button and the sensor display came up (in the Lexus they only pop-up automatically) and second - they worked at a greater distance.

Really? This is not a option on the IS Fsport models here in the U.S.Only on the standard IS models.I know it is available in other markets around the world.Since these cars are made in Japan and shipped to all parts of the globe.I would think it is just a matter of getting the parts #/parts.Then it would be plug and play just like in other models. This is one Mod i would love to do on my Fsport.......
P.S
lets see some pictures/video of your U.S Fsport with this in action.

i have heard about the 18's with them but you can't get it on the 17 Sport. Now if you try to Build a IS Fsport on the Lexus website it does not give you that option.Plus when i was looking to buy and shopping on dealers websites.i did not find one Fsport that had it.Maybe there is a late model build IS Fsport out there with it but i would love to see it.If so maybe he could help us Non optioned Fsport cars with this Mod.i will keep my fingers crossed.

Isn't this is the option where the card detects any nearby vehicles when moving out of a parking spot? It's not the same as having the parking sensors on the back bumper. But if I'm going in and out of the parking spot, and Motion is detected from another car, it will notify me.
