I remember reading that this is a fairly easy fix, but I can't locate the post or if it even had any information on the fix. Anyway I notice on my IS 300 when I go over a bump, there's a thump sound coming from the steering wheel. Any ideas.

Also - a little unrelated - but I am bringing my car in for curb rash repair on Wednesday. The shop said it takes two days. Should I leave the car with them, or take off the wheel at a time and just leave the wheel and tire? I have access to another car and the place is located a town away. Just wondering if it would be better off to leave the car there and have them remove and replace the wheel, or jack the car at home and remove the wheel and tire and bring it there. Thanks again.

For the wheel I would take it off at home and just take the wheel to them.

I have no idea about the steering column issue.

I hear rattle noise when go over a bump or turn music loud yep steering wheel area, last time i hear thump noise near glove box, found out that the Battery bracket was lose, tightened it up, noise gone. now the steering wheel area with weird noise . LOL Lexus i mean......
