Can you take a picture of the radio screen and bluetooth/media device screen. Just curious what they look like in the 2016 model.

 

Do they have patches for 2015 Non Nav cars?

That's weird it looks the same as the 2014. I had a 2016 loaner back in 2016 and it had a totally different layout for the bluetooth music and radio screens. Does anyone know what I am talking about or am I just going crazy?

 

Thanks Sasnuke, I just did this update on my 2014 IS350awd executive and everything went well and with no issues. Please feel free to upload any more updates if you have any
by the way, my operating system is 16.8700 (thats how it came when I bought it last year 2017 August.

 

Do you guys think this update file (13LHENNA-AB01_0007) will work for my wife's 2014 RX350 executive ???. I saw a pdf of a file similar to this one and it could update different models. So just asking.

The version you have is the most current version.

The updates mentioned in this thread only update the "Navigation" software, not the "Operating System".
You will note that both systems have the same "Navigation" software version, which is the most current version.
I haven't seen an update to the Operating System software to date.
I'm not sure what denotes the Operating System software version...maybe the time frame when the unit was produced?

 

My Back, it was firmware only. My HD traffic disappears but not my weather. I have involved Lexus executive office into this on why owners with older vehicles are locked out from updates?

 

In thinking about the Operating System software, I wonder if it relates to the features the unit has versus country of destination for the vehicle.
For example in Canada we don't get Traffic, Weather, Lexus Enforme, nor Safety Connect...so we wouldn't need the same software as the US folks.
It may be that there is a numbering system for the software, but it doesn't reflect old or new, simply different versions of the same software.

To clarify about the updates:
1. They are tethered to TSB's that address issues of abnormal operation...so really they are there to correct a problem to return the system to normal operation
2. They have no effect on Map data...that can only be updated via a new micro SD card
3. If you had a perfectly functioning unit and did an update, you likely will not notice a difference after

It sounds like you are having an issue with yours, but unfortunately we don't even get the function that has stopped working for you. I'm afraid us Canucks won't be much help.
