Haven't installed it yet...just discovered it today. Will likely do it later on today before I drive the car this afternoon.
I had the most recent update prior to this one, and had no issues.
The odd time my Samsung S7 wouldn't connect or the Browse button wouldn't be visible, but Infotainment software is notorious for being Apple focused, so I'm not really counting that as an issue.

Everything went fine...only took a few minutes.
Haven't driven the vehicle yet, but all the menus and navi appear to be functioning normally.
For sure it did fix the date of the update not displaying...it does show the date now.

It's the legit file from Lexus, straight from the TSB (shhhh...i know a guy!)

 

They have taken it down for around 3-4 months now.

 

I put the update on a USB root but the car didn't find the update. It did try to look for mp3's and the USB is formatted in FAT32. Is there something else I need to do?

 

I used a Centon DataStick Pro 8GB with a fresh format to FAT32. You can't use a stick that's too big or the vehicle won't recognize it...i think 8gb might be the max.
The file was the only thing I had on the stick in the root directory...it was the only thing at all for that matter.

I went through the General menu icon to the Software Update to initiate it.
If it finds the file, it will show you the old and new file on screen before it asks you to start the update.

 

Do you know if there's been any update for the multimedia system (non-nav) for 2016? The website always says nothing is available, but I don't know if there's any way to update gracenote files/etc.....

 

Being in Canada we don't get Gracenote updates for 3IS that don't have Entune...which really sucks!
My understanding is that for US the Gracenotes is updated via Entune when phone is connected to vehicle and internet. I could be wrong...I just remember reading it somewhere.

I didn't notice any issues with the Infotainment unit before the update that I wouldn't attribute to my phone being a Samsung, but if you have lagging issues, then the update will either fix it, make it better, or not change it at all.
Nowhere to go but up at this point.
The update fixes several different issues.

 

for IS350 With Navigation the file name is 13LHENNA-AB01_1525.kwi i believe 14-16 IS350

i updated my 15 IS350 AWD Fsport with this file 13LHENNA-AB01_1525.kwi update took me 2 mins , do it with a USB stick or USB flash drive.

 

That's the old file. There is a new file for 2015 that was released just this month. The number is 13LHENNA-AB01_0006.kwi
