Lexus used to have more updates to software on the webpage, I asked them in email, and they said 'Visit a dealer'. Called dealer, and they wanted to sell me maps, not the 'firmware update'. Silly.

That is because your stereo hardware internally is different. Do not try to flash the firmware on here people are talking about for 2014 model vehicle.
The method of update would be the same...I guess the question is, is there an update for the non-navi system?
I've never checked since I have the navi, but I've never heard of a recent one off hand...
