Yes the tail light has to come off. Its not hard. I think there is a couple small panels right where the trunk lid goes over the light, closest to the license plate that pop off... there's two bolts that come out, then the entire brake light slides towards you if you're facing the rear. You have to use quite a bit of force pull it out though!
Thanks for the clarification was baffled looking at it ... How does the front work through the front wheel fender??
Where is the best place should I mount the resistor I know goes on metal?
Any DIY step by step instructions or pictures for front and back ?
Fronts are a cake walk. The LED turn signals took me about 1 minute on each side, and about 5 mins mounting the resistor box...only because I'm SUPER **** about seeing wires. I have medium-sized hands for reference too.
Passenger side is super easy. Driver-side, you have limited access but I did all my work from the engine bay. I did not go through the wheel fender. Thats 10x the work lol
No DIY posts. I was in the same boat as you 5 weeks ago when I did mine. Its very straight forward. Take ownership and tackle it!
Ill have to figure it out I don't think it's that quick of a job to do especially with larger hands and limited space to access. I am just hoping my LED bulbs fit in the housing might be tight ..
My hands are bigger than the average. You just gotta jump in there and do it! I myself didn't think I could at first, but after doing it, its truly one of the easiest mods i've ever done.

My car is Canadian spec it's not possible to reach see attached
One would think this is relatively simple but the design and compact area is impossible to reach... Is there an alternate way?? This is way to complicated never had any issues before with any other car accessing the plug/ bulb on headlights terrible I probably will have to remove fuse box to even have a chance lol

it took less than 5 mins for both.. just use tools.

Finally installed rears went well went through 3 sets of bulbs to find the best ones that suit to my liking lots of garbage LEDs and am satisfied nice small upgrade I find LED can be expensive not worth the price but outcome of faster crisper bright response of the LED is what you pay for LOL ...
Waiting for front harness now as I ordered the wrong size 7443/ a set that will fit the front housing properly which is 7440..
