Mine works fine without major issues. POS is kind of far fetched but then I don't know what issues you're having... You can bring this up with your dealer and if you make a big fuss about it they might even buy it back from you.
POS is accurate.
I'm experiencing all discussed on this thread.
I've brought it up with everyone there is to bring it up with.
On the market for a year now with no solution in sight; ridiculous.
For the last few months, since my last firmware update by the dealer, mine has been running pretty well. No crashes or blue flashes. I do occasionally get the Pandora "Paused" issue but I am not convinced it isn't an issue with my phone rather than the car.

Hope I didn't just jinx it!
JDR, can you tell us what update you received?
Also, an unrelated comment (one that I've posted previously). It's a sad day when Ford treats its customers better than Lexus. Ford has a representative who monitors the various Mustang internet forums. When forum members run into problems, she contacts them via PM, and then contacts their dealers to assist with the fix.
Comparatively, all we get from Lexus corporate is the silent treatment. I can't imagine anyone in that company caring enough to monitor Club Lexus.
Note that I use Enform all the time, but never plug my phone into the USB port.
I had my unit replaced awhile ago, it was running 8600 and was a basket case. The replacement is running 8500 and is working very well except for the occasional "Pandora Paused" thing.
I'd recommend not letting Lexus update you to 8600 (unless of course you would like a new head unit )

Good to know! Thanks for the head's up. I'll stick with 8500 then.
Thanks JDR. My USB port is always in use (i-Pod), and that may contribute to the problem.
UncleSpud, I am running 8500 and had a twice weekly reboot shortly after start up. Since I removed my iPod from the USB port over a month ago, I have had no issues at all.
I would have to second that with nothing plugged into the USB no issues, when iPod plugged into USB, intermittent issues. Leads me to believe it's an issue with USB port or something related to USB. PatrixUSA
Either that or it's something running on the phone in the background. I find I have pretty good luck if I close all the apps on my phone before plugging it in.
I don't know if a problem I had several weeks ago is related to all off the other Nav issues people are having. My system locked up with the radio screen on. I couldn't change radio stations or switch any functions on the nav
screen. I couldn't change to other inputs or change the radio volume. I turned the car off, then restarted and everything worked normally.

There is a new media unit with an upgraded hardware revision as well as an upgraded firmware that fixed my problems with the media system. I believe that the problem is hardware related and the reason it hasn't been fixed on existing units is that Lexus and it's vendors are trying to find a way to do a software patch to fix the hardware problem. Good luck in getting Lexus to replace existing media units though.
IS at the body shop; in a 2014 Corolla rental with 4k miles.
WHY THE F DOES THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM WORK THE WAY IT SHOULD IN THIS COROLLA, BUT IT DOESN’T IN OUR CARS!? MANY PARALLELS BETWEEN THE TWO CARS, BUT THEY HAD TO GET OUR NAVIGATION SYSTEM ALL WRONG!?
To top it off, the Corolla's system is faster, has a touchscreen, as well as better steering wheel controls with separate buttons for tune, seek, volume and mute.
