How to Confirm Navigation Firmware Version
Cycle ignition to ACC, Lexus Emblam will appear
Wait for display to switch to "Caution" screen, then press "continue"
The Map Screen will display. Enter the Service Menu by cycling the headlight switch ON/OFF 3 times while holding down the Menuu button.
Select Service Information
Select Version Information
Select EMV-M
View Version (e.g. 8500)*
Then cycle ignition to get out of the screen

Can't you just go to General setting then software update just like shown here? It shows the same info instead of cycling headlights, which will probably kill HID bulbs quicker too. You only need to go to service menu if you're actually performing the update.

Had new experience today. I've been running Pandora through the Enform app pretty much whenever I'm in the car for the past couple weeks.

So, today I get in the car, start it. The car connects to the phone and Pandora starts playing, but wait , it's playing two songs at once. My first thought is Pandora is screwed up, but just for fun I cycle through all the sources. It was playing Pandora and iHeart Radio simultaneously, that had to be sucking some data through my phone.

A restart of the system cleared it, but it goes onto my list of glitches I've been keeping.

I'm beginning to wonder how much of the problem is Enform-based. Ever since I went to a Windows Phone, and thus could no longer use Enform, most of my problems went away. I did get the 8500 update, which many say has not helped them, but it certainly didn't make things worse for me. Makes me hope that future Enform updates could fix this problem. Too bad they seem to update it once every couple of years.

Had my car in for my 5K service today--the dealer is aware of the problem and so is Lexus, but as yet, no fix. The most frustrating part of this is Lexus' appalling lack of communication with its dealers and customers on this issue. There are rumors of a firmware update in the coming weeks, but I heard similar rumors in April which turned out to be hot air. Meanwhile, we wait....

If nothing wrong with yours why get angry? Be glad that your car is still drivable. I see lots of 335i owners with cooling fans problem and stuck with loaners for weeks. BMW doesn't know how to fix it.

I absolutely disagree.

One has NOTHING to do with the other.

People buy Lexus for a reason and it's strayed FAR from what established it in the first place.

The car should NOT have been released with such an awful system, there's been NO clear communication and the fix should've been out already.

It's boiling to the point that I'd rather be in a loaner that works instead of this POS.

Mine works fine without major issues. POS is kind of far fetched but then I don't know what issues you're having... You can bring this up with your dealer and if you make a big fuss about it they might even buy it back from you.
