Default Kill switch

Hey
Someone i think tried to steal my car today alarm went off for no reason and caught 2 suspicious people in a car next to mine,

Could be wrong but was suss

Anyway I want to add a killswitch for added security

Can I add a killswitch wire into the fuel pump fuse underneath bonnet and run wire into car with the switch?

I don't really want to cut factory wires so was hoping a fuse tap into the fuel pump fuse then add switch

Best thing is have a good insurance policy. If they want your car, they will get your car. Even if you deter them the end result will likely just being tons of damage since you're already dealing with upstanding people.

Hide some airtags/smart tags in the car.

thanks for help
I kind of want just want another layer of security to make it harder , if my car gets stolen i dont want it back haha

Just wanted to see if wiring was right so I didn't cause issues without cutting factory wiring

Just a simple security additive

Check what type of fuse you’ll be tapping, so you order the correct size. Probably a mini fuse, but best to check first.

Hey

Yeh it's stock 20amp mini fuse

I Bought a piggyback fuse tap holder with 20amp fuse like in the picture,

12awg wire,
Rocker switch
also another 20 amp fuse holder

Just checking thats how I would wire the piggyback fuse tap also??

Also it won't cause any issues electrically??

There’s no positive and negative here, just a path for current to pass through (to the circuit it looks like a wire).
If the left most fuse contacts (in the picture) are both connected to the left tap tab, and right most fuse contacts are not connected together internally, and the right most bottom fuse contact is connected to the right most tap tab, you should be good to go. Use an ohm meter to verify the internal connections of the tap.

Ok cool

So pretty much how it is in the picture will work fine

My diagram is was just gonna add another 20amp fuse in the circuit for safety
