I had the AutoWatch Ghost 2 installed which is essentially the same device. Had to have it removed as it failed every time maintenance mode was activated. That mode allowed you to override the code so you could allow a service visit. That failure meant either giving the shop your code or having to have it reprogrammed every time, which for me meant a 1.5 hour round trip to the installer. For me that was too much hassle for the price. So just be careful if you get this, make sure it works properly.

Also, there was a CBC news story of an RX owner that had one or the other of these installed and had electrical problems. Lexus blamed the device and cancelled the warranty on a brand new RX. The installer said it was a Lexus problem. Owners problem was resolved when the RX was stolen after the device was removed. So I'm not sure that putting one of these in will void the warranty or not.

I use a club with a combination lock and park inside my garage most of the time.

I've decided I might give one of those fake OBDII ports a go. It seems on the 2G-NX the fob relay attack and the can bus injection attack exposure is at least reduced, but I've not heard much about preventing the gaining of access to the ODBII port for programming new keys. I guess the idea is you disconnect the real port from its mount, connect a fake port to it that looks OEM and mount it to original place. The fake cable only provides power but no communications while the real port remains tucked up under dash well out of view. I guess the idea that the average "gone in 60 seconds" crook is just going to latch on by feel to the fake port, see power to his tools, but can't communicate with the car, rendering him puzzled and potentially taking much longer trying to diagnose why his tools don't work. I suppose its just a delay tactic, but the cost is cheap so potentially some bang for the buck. This might also be a good companion to a lock on the real port. Takes extra time to realize the port is fake, takes extra time to find the real port, takes extra time to figure out how to get the lock off. Your 60 seconds is up... Maybe...

A steering wheel lock with a combination code sounds a whole lot simpler if you're just trying to deter thieves.

never liked them, lying around the car, having to lock and unlock it each and every time. Far too lazy for all that

I was thinking to install IGLA on my Lexus too, but from what I have heard, IGLA is no longer works on Lexus 2024 and after, since Lexus upgraded something with security. So that was out of the window.
I found something else that I was thinking to install on mine (https://www.ravelco.com/) but since it is brand new vehicle 2024, the supplier of that device said that they have to figure out how it will be installed and then make the instructions for their installers. So I never heard from them back lol . It is kind of sort of old school device that they made many years ago and there were no changes in it, and there are some controversy as some say no one ever beat the device, while others say that it can be defeated with some knowledge and knowhow, but still I feel that this would be better than nothing.

I posted a while back that the IGLA doesn't work with the 2024 after doing tons of research, trying to get it installed, and talking to the techs at IGLA. Currently they are still working on a solution and will let me know when/if one is found.

I also reached out about the ravelco, on the website, as I was curious. I got a rather weird reply when I asked for installers in my area. Instead of telling me where I might get one installed they told me I didn't need one as "no one steals hybrids" according to them. Found it quite odd. Anyone else have similar experience with them?

If a professional want it then no matter what you do or install its gone.

Modern high tech tow trucks the driver doesn't even have to leave the cab and can hook up and be gone in less than 30 seconds.

Two streets away disconnect the battery or foam the horn and then to the chop shop or shipping container.

Unfortunately your fighting a loosing battle, if they don't get it the first time they surely will the next time.

Professionals work from a shopping list and track down the exact model car their after and in the end they always win.

After its stolen, I don't want it back.

Keep good insurance.

Good info and accurate or move/relocate to a safer location. Had LoJack on my RS but let it expire. I remember when people thought the Club was the answer. I still like the ole days when people didn't lock their houses or cars and you could still hitchhike.

I am gated and garaged and videoed but even that can be defeated,

Peace and Good Luck

YMMV,
