Default what to start on first?

Hello and happy new year!,

Just picked up my black 2008 Lexus is250 yesterday, and it's a wonderful car! absolutely in love!

The car previously had been taken care of, for the most part. Just out of curiosity as a first time lexus owner, what are some specific things i should be looking at or thinking about getting checked or replaced. The car is currently at 100,2XX miles, and so far it drives amazing and zips through corners nicely!

Her name is Lexi by the way.

Thank you!,
Christian

Coolant is supposed to be flushed at 100K and spark plugs at 60K. Those are the major ones.

First things first change your car motor oil. Mobile 1 Full Synthetic 5W-30. When I bought my car I quickly change my oil it was burnt black. I also had to check my coolant level and had to change my brake pads because surprisingly the rear was almost done, and lastly check your Tire Pressure. 35psi Front / 37psi Rear Staggered.

I would say avoid mobil 1 if you drive your car hard. It burns faster than other oils. The previous person might never have change their brake fluid or rarely changed it (it should be changed every 3 years).

1. Change the interior lights to LED (I did a mix of white and blue, everyone loves it, more white than blue)
2. Swap the DRL's from that awful yellow to LED's as well.
3. HID fog lights.
4. Bright white puddle lights
5. Door panel lights, change those to led too!

There is no free engine rebuild. But if you are experiencing issues with your engine (carbon build up), Lexus is extending a warranty for that for 9 years (or 10?) with unlimited miles. Create an account in Lexus Drivers website and see if there is any outstanding recall on the car.

For mods, I would definitely look at rear F-Sport sway bars before anything else.

Basically the 250 motor is a time bomb until it throws CELs and runs like crap. Lexus installs new pistons, cleans the valves etc. It's a rebuild more or less.

I doubt they truly rebuild the engine. They probably just do the minimum to get the car running. A true engine rebuild require replacing alot more parts than that and re-machining many others. If they did a true rebuild, I would just buy a high mileage ISX50 as another beater car and get a free rebuilt engine since they are so cheap.
