Default Routine Maintenances

Hey guys this is my first official car and right now I have about 3200 miles on the car. What should i be aware of as far as the water, oil, brake fluid, etc. I haven't checked anything on the car as of yet but I do know that at 5,000 miles I get a free oil change. I'm asking this due to the fact I was breaking and I felt the car kinda like buckle. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Everything is normal, I haven't checked mine yet. My car has 3800 miles on it so far.

The feeling of a "buckle" or jolt is normal. Its the motor itself down shifting into lower gears to help with breaking.

My experience w/TMCo cars is as long as you change your oil & filter every 5k, you should be bullet proof up to 80k. Generally around 80k is when major maintenace kicks in (timing belt, plugs, rotors, battery, etc). YMMV.

Be sure to check tire pressure. Mine was low this weekend at about 9600 miles. I'm used to having everything checked at oil changes, but now that they are 5000 miles apart instead of the 3500 I was doing on my 2GS, it looks like I will have to pay attention to some things myself in between,...
