The screen on my 2006 Lexus IS350 is blank. It turns on when the car is first started, 5-10 mins later it goes dark. The buttons are inoperable. From reading the posts, seems it is the main board. My screen is faded too, works well but its faded. I was thinking of replacing it too. But at $200 dollars for the screen, $250-300 for the main board, basically $500 bucks. Torn about just replacing with an Android double DIN. Or picking up an used unit from a newer model. Not sure if the 2010-2013 units are compatible though.

Exclamation ** warning ** static sensitive pcba

I know exactly what causing the problem cause I've been repaired more than 30 units like this already. The heat you applied to the BGA is not enough to fix the solder (water soluble -lead free) for BGA.
For anyone want to take care of the blank/black screen problem. Go a head and order the display driver board, your problem will be fixed in no time.
hereis some picture of it for your reference

People - * DO NOT LAY EXPOSED ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT BOARDS on carpet! Man made materials generate static electricity. Static electricity can and does damage low voltage components like those on this Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA).

Tips:
Touch grounded metal surfaces and dissipate static electricity from your body before touching PCBA's.
Perform work on wood surfaces if possible.
Handle the boards on the edge only.
Do not walk across the carpet and touch an exposed PCBA it is a sure fire way to induce failure or latent failure to an otherwise working device.
Read up on static electricity and ways to dissipate energy, like grounded wrist straps and all that...

I tested all fuses and unfortunately all of them are ok so my problem is based on the bad board. I don’t know exactly which board to get as there are potentially one of the three boards that could be bad so im leaning towards getting an android head unit. Any recommendations on which would be the cheapest option where my factory backup camera and ac controls would work?

@meteoro I had great success with another one man show here in SoCal. He actually does repairs for several local dealerships...

Give him a try and let him know what your exact problems are and of course a Joe Z referral never hurts..!!

My screen was fine, but when one or two of the boards go out, you screen and buttons go dark like mine.

I didn't have time for him to "repair" mine, but he does core swaps too if he has your same year and model on hand.

My repair was done 3 years ago, no issues since..

@Joe Z Thanks for the advice! I went with an aftermarket Tesla style screen. But not going to well. It works haphazardly, The sound comes in and out, HVAC controls are not working. It looks great, and brings the car to this decade, Working with the vendor to see if i can get it working. But more and more, I think i am going to go the route of fixing my head unit.

Hi!! White beast !! I’m Efrain, are you fixing those boards with a heat gun? I am going to check a 2008 IS350 radio for a lady, black screen and no side buttons working. I’m going to check the board for some cold solders, if I can’t find something I will order the board. I have read that you have fixed some of them, could you give me some advice? Thank you.

Hello, I'm from Dallas, tx, and My 2009 Lexus IS250 navigation screen when dark, sometimes it turns on for like 3 seconds, then it gets a check the system message. I recently change my battery and my alternator and still didn't fix the navigation screen. It sucks since I cannot turn the AC and it's hot here in Texas in the summer. Can anyone help me?

Default If screen black but radio works, replace Power Supply Board

I replaced the expensive display board that had a cpu and fan, however the display still did not come on. Eventually the clock no longer displayed. The radio would work here and there but not always.

I replaced the Power Supply Board (

Opuradio power board fujitsu PCB drive 86114-5301 86114-30120 GS350 IS250 from AliExpress for $98 US. The add said it was 100% Brand new, but it was used, however it fixed my problem.

Yep... finally fixed the black screen, where the radio would work for 5 minutes and then stop. The clock no longer displayed.

I first replaced the screen driver board which has a cpu and a fan (Fujitsu ten Main Board 99370-00357 NAVI board 462651-0012 (1/2) PCB) $273 US.
This did not fix my problem.

I then replaced the Power Supply Board (has most of the connectors), and now the clock, display, and radio now work okay.

86114-30120 GS350 IS250 from AliExpress for $98 US.

Hi All! It finally happened to my 2006 IS 250. This thread has been very helpful so thanks to everyone’s contribution. I’m going to purchase part 462651-0012 (1/2) off Alibaba, but wanted to confirm one thing. There seems to be multiple versions of this one part? The person on Alibaba asked me to send a picture of my part and showed me different versions of this part see attached. Are these interchangeable?
