Default 2006 HID Headlight out...help!

My HID on the passenger side burns sometimes, and sometimes it glows a little.

Is this the bulb or the ballast?

I'm going to try to flipflop the bulbs this morning and see if it moves to the other side. Anyone else see this and have a solution?

It's probably the bulb. I would go with your plan, it will probably move with the bulb.

Switched them...moves with the bulb.

Are these a suitable replacement?

Toshiba-Harison are very good bulbs, as are Philips XenEco if you are looking for OE replacement. Philips Ultinon bulbs are also fantastic if you are looking to shift colour.

Thanks Jeff, I think I'm going to go with the Xenon depot bulb. With the CL discount I can get 2 for 99.00 shipped

It's a 6500k bulb. Will this be whiter than stock?

more blueish white than oem... oem is 4300k which will be creamer white than the 6500k bulbs. 6500k bulbs looks very nice. just dont go over 8000k or it will start to look too blue/purple

For best night visibility, stick with an OE spec 4300 bulb.

Be very careful with aftermarket D4S bulbs. There are only a handful of aftermarket vendors that know what they're doing when it comes to D4 / mercury free applications. We carry both original Philips D4S HID bulbs and XenonDepot D4S bulbs. If you are looking for the brightest possible output then go with the Philips 4300k color temperature. If you want something with a little more color then take a look at the XenonDepot brand.
