The dealer told me I needed a new bulb and wanted $270 to replace it. I laughed at them. Af ter some google searching I found out how to take the bulb out and replace it. So I took it out to see what bulb it was.

My question is I have a Phillips Germany d4s Xenaca bulb. A replacement bulb was $99 at Napa and $175 at autozone. Those prices are outrageous. Can anyone recommend other replacement bulbs they have used and place to get them.

Also, when you put bulb back into the socket how do you know it is sitting properly?

The pricing is actually correct. The Phillips quartz bulbs sold in Japan are around 220$, I would recommend Garax bulbs which are about 80$ for a pair or a pair of d4s bulbs from kbcarstuff.com,

HID I believe. The dealer wrote HID.

The brand does not matter as long as it is D4S correct?
