Default Reverse side mirrors

hey guys, I was just wondering how do you set your side mirrors to go downwards so you can see the ground when you're reversing? I have the luxury package and I have seen it work before on my car, but for some reason i realized it stopped working... Do you guys know how to set it and make it stay at the spot you want it to every time you're reversing?
thanks!

Make sure the button to adjust the mirrors is set in the middle and not to the left/right mirror.

Yeah I've put it to one side before already, it tilts a little bit. When I tilt it down in reverse by my self it doesn't save of anything once i change it to Park or Drive it'll just go back to normal then once I switch it to reverse again it'll tilt as much as the first time, not how tilted I want it to be.

Seems like you might have a problem with the actuator. When I reverse and I have the switch set to either the right or left, it tilts down when I reverse and goes back to the correct setting when I shift to park or drive.

The search function would have brought up these and more:

It's also in your owner's manual.

They do get stuck over time. You need to *gently* with your hand push each mirror all the way up, down, left and right a couple of times. Then hit the memory button to get them back to your desired spot. After that, they should fully tilt.

I have an '07, and I find I have to do this once a month. It's frustrating--the dealer could never "replicate" the problem during the entire warranty period.

This is incorrect information. When set in the middle position, the reverse tilt mirrors are deactivated and will not adjust when in reverse. To activate it, leave the switch in the LEFT OR RIGHT position. You're mirrors will tilt as expected when in reverse and should go back to normal position when you change the shift position. As others have mentionoed, it's a good idea to reset the mirrors a couple times a year.

Noobs...please utilize the search function.
