I have a 2008 IS250 - fully loaded. Im wondering if there is a way to program the angle of tilt on the side mirrors when I reverse? Basically, I'd like to be able to see the ground and when it tilts it is not quite where I need it to be. I can manually adjust the mirror once it tilts, but it always goes back to the original spot the next time. Is this possible?

I believe the only way you will get the desired result (having a view of the ground in reverse) is to adjust the "home" position down a little more so that when you hit reverse the mirrors tilt down even more.
Thanks... I am just so used to my mirrors staying put that I dont know how to back up when the mirrors point to the ground - I want to see the back of the car.
if you buy the side mirrors with the auto tilt function would that add the tilt funct to my non tilting side mirrors? once i replace them of course?
sewell sells them here http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2007/2399.html

I don't know. There would have to be some way to send a signal to the mirror when the car is put in reverse. so it could require another wire to accomplish this.
