The only way to get the 500 gift card is when u bought the extended warranty u get the gift card due to the valve spring. thats what it says in the letter.

I bought a CPO with extended warranty and just go the $1500 voucher and $500 gift card. Yeah, I hope I can use the gift card for stuff other than service. It says for parts too, but I'm not sure that applies across the board for all the stuff Sewell sells.

is it a prepaid visa like some are saying, or something that indicates lexus on it? I'd think with a prepaid visa you should be able to buy whatever you want with it

Nope, I don't have the extended warranty, and I still got the $500 on the way.

it's a Visa that says Lexus Loyalty Card. it's good for Lexus parts and services. i think you can only use it at Lexus dealerships which i guess includes Sewell.

So I just got of the phone with Lexus and they told me that if you didn't purchase the extended warranty through Lexus or a 3rd party, that they would just extend your powertrain warranty to 6years/100,000 miles.

Now if you did get the extended warranty through Lexus or a 3rd party, they would provide $500 gift card.

You are unable to claim both. Anyone get this too? I'm reading mixed things.

I would rather have the gift card five hundred rather than extended warranty. I've already had my car for exactly 5 years.

Yeah same here. But the Lexus Rep on the phone told me it would be the extended warranty regardless. Not sure how it works for 2006. I drive a 2008 IS350.

I'll call again tomorrow and probably get a different answer.

Does it matter how much miles we have on the car to get the extended warranty? so they add 6 more yrs and 100,000 miles warranty which ever comes 1st?

6 years from the initial in-service date, or 100k total miles on the car, whichever comes first.

So with 60k miles on my car today, Lexus will cover me for 40k more miles...right up to 100k. But, my car is exactly 5 years old...so basically I only get another year. I plan to sell the car in two years. I'd rather have the $500 will call Lexus on Monday.
