You didn't move the TPMS sensors over to your new wheels, and your old ones are still in the garage.

The light takes a while to come on. When you're local you didn't drive enough miles, and then when you pull into the garage it detects it old sensors in the old wheels.

When you go more than 50 miles away that's enough for the light to turn on until you get back to the garage.

Dunno if that's the case here, but it fits what you describe, and at least one previous forum member had the same thing happening and that was the answer to it.

1 - The new wheels need Sensors
2 - The dealer needs to program the car for the new sensors
- the dealer needs the color and #s on the sensors to do this
- If you don't have the info they'll have to get into the wheel to get it
3- If the above has been done you need to switch the satellite setting to 2nd set of wheels. This control is just below the steering wheel on the left

if the tires were low the light should be on right away... and the light wont goes off again.

The sensors were moved from the oem wheels to my new wheels.
its not just my garage, the light goes off overnight even if I park the car at my gf's house.

Dealer needs to program the car even with the sensors that were originally on the oem wheels?
just strange to me that every morning is fine... and if i drive to school(about 5miles, then work about another 10 miles) everything is fine.. but if i drive for about 50 miles thats when the light turns on!

I bought a set of 350z wheels and they come with sensors, Nissan censors. Put those wheels on my Lexus and drive for a day. I did not see and "LOW TIRES" light come on not so ever. You think something wrong with my car TPMS?

The lack of grammar in this thread bothers me.

But to be somewhat helpful...try "initializing" the new wheels and see how that works.

sensor usually comes on after few mins if driving, if your stock rims are in the garage, and without an second set of TPMS installed.
