I have LED turn signals and it hyper-flashes. I fixed it with an aftermarket flasher, but that killed the arm/disarm flash. Does your new 2011 flasher fixes the arm/disarm flash issue?

I don't know what's AFS, or HID, don't know much about headlights. I have an 2007 IS300 (Middle East spec), which I think it's similar to Japan spec, can anyone help me? I'm very interested.

Also, it isn't plug and play if I buy it locally right, it's custom job from sewell?

Sewell...You have successfully installed the 2011 HID-LED lamps in an 06-08 ISX50? I saw them posted on your site, but you never said if your tester car was equipped with AFS or not. Could you please clarify this...

AFS = Adapative Front lighting System (Headlamp projector turns in the direction the car turns)

HID = High Intensity Discharge (Light bulbs usually filled with Xenon Gas)

Do you need futher details on these terms?

Thanks Joe Z, as Michael Scott said, Explain like I'm an 8 year old.

I don't think I have AFS.

If you have original factory HIDs in an 06-10 2IS you have AFS. Otherwise, you don't.

AFS turns the headlights left or right if you turn the car left or right to better illuminate where you're going in the turn.

Seems like sewell has updated it for the upgrade from 06-10 with stock halogens into HID + LED

Adding to the previous here's a formal addition:

Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS), which helps optimize road visibility during cornering by swiveling the headlights right or left to the inner side of the cornering direction, based on vehicle speed and steering angle. This sophisticated system uses information from steering angle sensors, front wheel speed and height sensors to control the direction and spread of the headlamp light pattern. The left beam can rotate from 0-15 degrees in a left turn while the right beam remains in the center position, and the right beam can rotate from 0-5 degrees in a right turn while the left beam remains in the center position.

Sewell,

Is there also an upgrade for 2006 with stock halogens into 2010 HID's with AFS? OR just HID without AFS?

do you mean 2011's? 2006-2010 hid's are all the same.

If you WANT AFS, then you'd have to find someone willing to sell you everything you need (such as myself) because I prefer the LED DRL's over the AFS.

I have the stock halogen with HID KIT, but it seems like my projector lens is foggy/ribbed/fresnel and the beam is a little bit narrow. So I would like a better output.

I am currently using 50watt 4300k HID kit, but I still think it's very dim..

From what I can deduce, HID and AFS go hand in hand. However, with our new headlamps we're offering, the upgrade is just with the HID's and LED's. The AFS is a very robust system and involves more than just the head lamps.

So if you have halogens and want something else, all we can give you is HID's and LED's from the 2011.

It is possible we could upgrade to the 2010 HID's, but we haven't had any requests for this so I don't think we'll be doing anything with this.

FYI - coming soon is a core return (rebate) for your old lights when upgrading to the new lamps we're offering. Like usual we're just trying to work out the details to the value of older, used lights.
