Default Trunk Light Replacement - NEED HELP!!

Cannot believe I haven't been able to figure this out yet...so I need your help. I bought a bunch of LED's from V-LED.

I cannot figure out how to get to the bulb in the trunk to replace it. Does it require removing the trunk lid lining? If I just pull on the lens, it definitely seems like it wants to break.

I appreciate any advice. Thanks.

No, you don't have to remove the trunk lining. Just pull it out. It's been a while since I've removed mine, but there aren't any screws holding it in or anything.

hi rtk, u just stick a flat head screw driver and carefully pry out the entire light housing of the trunk light. you can probably do it with your hands, but that is how u get to the light bulb.

its similar to changing out the light on the side passenger / driver door. no need to take off any panels, just pull out the small light housing assembly.

Just get a small flat head and pry the housing down, Just put a little force into it. Don't worry, you will not break anything.

Thanks for the input guys. I will be taking care of this right after work today.

funnie - Thanks for the heads up on the door lights...did you swap out the lens when you changed those bulbs? That is on my short list of upcoming mods, but I was thinking of putting a clear lens in place of the stock cover.

Default CFL install in ES300

something you might want to consider.

I did the LED swap in my ES300.
I then installed 12"CFL (2 - 12"bulbs in each) each kit cost ~$20 in the Turnk and under the hood.

I've been very happy with the results.
