Replace stop light in trunk lid

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic holder that hold the liner on to the trunk lid without breaking them? I need to replace the stop light in the trunk lid.

i either pryed them up with a flat head screwdriver or used needle nose pliers to grip in between the indentions and pulled straight out which was easier.

Don't worry they are pretty sturdy.
