Default question about putting emblems back

I had taken all the emblems on the back of my car (isx50,L,Lexus) and had them painted pearl black. My cars at a shop right now and i just got the emblems back from my friend and i gave it to the shop and asked them to put it on, they said they'd do it for free but that i need to get them glue because they dont have any and that all the glue on back of the emblems is gone. I know the emblems fit right on the back of the car because of the little holes drilled in but i guess i still need some kind of glue? I went to Kragen Auto Parts and they didn't really have anything besides super glue which would just mess up the paint.

Anything you guys recommend? Or should i just contact my Local Lexus dealer

thanks

I wouldn't use glue - I'd use this (in case you ever want to remove them), available at any Auto Zone or Wal-Mart near you:

It all depends well you trim it. Take your time and it'll be fine.

Trim it well like Javy said or else it will look ghetto and poke out the sides or be excessively visible. When I re-did mine I made the strips very thin, just enough to keep the emblems secure and without being able to see the tape once the emblems are on.
