You can heat up the glue with a hair dryer and take fishing line or floss and peel off the emblem slowly. Goo gone to get rid of any residue. Not sure about holes.

not sure about holes either but I'm 99% sure there are none. I did the same process as above to my IS300 and few other cars. Im pretty sure emblems on the 2IS are just double sided. No holes.

Yes, there are definitely holes. You'll need to have a body shop fill them if you're trying to get a clean look.

Yeah there's holes for sure. If you take it off, you'll be able to put them back on.

Are there holes for all of the emblems? My guess would be only the lexus L emblem but it sounds like their on all of the emblems.

Hey CyberEye, if you're looking to remove your emblems and paint them black you should read DJ Amtrax's posting as he did his emblems himself.

No, there are 6 holes total. 2 on the L emblem, 2 on the LEXUS, 1 on the S, and 1 on the 5. There's a thread somwhere floatin around that JavyLSU took pictures of the pegs on the back of some of the emblems.

I am actually filling the holes as we speak.. I just added the touchup blobs and left it to dry over the bondo filled holes and I will sand them down and compound and polish the whole trunk piece to a swirl free finish.

I dont remember. If you dont have a polisher like the PC or similar I dont recommend doing it yourself.

Basically any local store like pepboys, autobarn etc carry the materials.

I used Bondo body filler and some sanding papers to make it smooth and blend the touch up the best I could. Definitely take off the whole garnish so you can fill the holes from the back if you plan on doing this.
