So that means 2010 release for a 2011 car... one more year to go! lol
Yes, if all goes as planned. Just think, in a little over a year from now, we should be seeing an all new IS. Our cars will be instantly outdated, or classic, however you want to look at it. As I see it, a little of both. On the positive side, Lexuses have held up VERY well since 1989. Many older ones on the road today still look fresh and modern. I expect the 2IS to be the same as it ages.
Back to the 3IS. While it's lovely to have a brand new car and new design the first year it arrives, keep in mind the prices will be rediculous. After a year on the market, things will settle down with supply and demand, and good deals will start surfacing. Think back a few years ago when the 2IS debuted. It would be interesting to do a price comparison of lease payments for the 2006's vs 2008's or 9's. Pretty much the same car, but the new models are likely leasing for a good $100 a month less than the early models. That's some serious cash, or at least is for me. Something to keep in mind if you are counting your pennies. If not, go out there and go ***** out! (can we say ***** on here?)
I have a 250 too. Planning to trade for 350. I have been so depressing. I can't find the color and options that I wanted. I have to wait for the 2010 coming out. HOpe they have one with the color I wanted but the trade amount will be 14-15k. Or should I save the 250 for my wife and get a used 350. I hate to old 2 of the same plus 3rd gen is almost gonna come out then I'll be knocking on my head to spend another over 25k for a used 350. Or could have wait for the Toyota FT-HS coming out next year with RWD coupe. and used that 15k on a down. What do you guys think?
IS-F is nice. But in my opinion you should consider getting something different if you're looking to trade in your IS. Good luck on whatever you decide to get.
^^^ He makes a very good point, considering that Lexus just spent a ton of money to launch the IS-C and how the current economy is I doubt Lexus will be replacing it in 2012. Hell look at Acura with there 3rd gen integra it ran from 94-2001.
