Yes the next gen IS will have the same reputation for incorporating new tech to the model. I have a feeling they wont go too crazy with the next gen IS but look out to see if they incorporate tons of LED tech and some hot lights in the front in back. They might increase the interior room too

There should be five years of the 2IS, not six. Just like the 1IS. That brings the 3IS to the 2011 model year. Most of these asian cars (Camry, IS, ES, GS, LS, Corolla, Altima, G37, etc) usually run for five years, not six.
if I were you, i'll just move on to different car...
I wouldn't trade an IS to get IS-F..to me,,that's not a huge upgrade,,
I'm not sure what kind of cars you are looking for but
why not,,G37, BMW 335, M3, new Benz E class coupe etc..
