3rd Gen IS speculation thread

I'm pretty sure we'll see a 3IS with both traditional and hybrid options - Hybrids can be quick too though, our GS is almost as fast to 60 as the IS350.

3g is spy pics
With the next gen bmw 3 series coming out in the next 2 years or so, I can't believe that we've haven't seen any spy pics or even heard of anything about the 3g IS. I know the GS came out first and so I would at least expect the 4g car to arrive soon especially since the Infiniti M, BMW 5, and Mercedes E have all introduced their next gen cars already. Lexus doesn't seem to have too much happening with their product lines.
I'm hoping that the 3g IS will be a little bigger but I expect to grow anyways since having a smaller wheelbase will mean that Lexus will have to meet even more stringent mpg rules under the new laws that will be going into effect soon. I'd like the IS to grow to about the size of a 3 series.
I'd also like to ask Lexus NOT to put run flats on the car as I think run flats are a waste of consumer money.
Also, please engineer the 3g IS with the IS-F in mind from the beginning and not as a skunk works project. This way, it can be better incorporated and better engineered. One more thing, let us have a double clutch.

Like the OP I also tried searching for the 3g IS before buying mine last week. I didn't want to get it then regret when a better one comes out right after.
But I did find alot of Lexus LF-CH concept instead of the new IS... nothing on 3g IS.

And yet people (some on these forums!) will try and convince you that the IS is on some "5 year cycle" and the 3IS should be out in 2011 or 2012. This is ludicrous.
