When I hit a mamouth sized pothole in my 1IS (going considerably slower) the following happened: Bent rim (I'm talking oval), shredded tire, compressed CD stacker.

You may have a bent rim, and if you don't it's possible that you have structurally damaged your rim (so another smack in a pothole could break the rim). I would have it checked. Of course you may also have an allignment/ballance issue as well.

Call when ever Lexus you got the car from and ask them if they want to look at it or if there's a wheel/tire shop the recommend (failing that, PM me and I'll tell ya where I had mine taken care of)

I wouldn't wait.

Not a manufacturing defect, it's damage from an accident/incident, so you will be charged.

First check to see if the tire and rim are ok. Then bring it into the dealership to get an alignment. Your warranty should cover 1 free alignment within the first year or 12k miles. If your tire is messed up, I believe there is a tire road hazard warranty on the factory tires within the first 6k or so miles. You can't expect the dealership to cover the rim if its bent since you were the one that bent the rim.

First check the rims and tires that you ran over the pothole with. If you find nothing then go take a drive in a smooth flat road. Feel vibrations? If you let go for the steering wheel while driving straight, does your car move left or right by a noticeable amount?

If it's vibrating, most likely that it is a bent wheel. If your car moves left or right by a lot means you need alignment. I don't think dealers will cover alignment for you.

Outta luck on the warranty. Lucky you didn't blow your side wall. Alignment or bent rim is certainly possible.

Dude--you hit a pothole. It's not Lexus' fault. You gotta just suck it up and pay for it.
