Default Pothole vs. Rim - Front GSF Rim Needed

Hey Guys - any of you that swapped out your rims have a right front you would be willing to sell?

Long story short, pothole vs. rim and pothole won!

oh man, sorry to hear that. Surprised the OEM wheels bent, they're pretty strong from my experience. This is why even though I was reluctant do to so I decided to get the wheel and tire protection when I bought the car.

If you cant get it through a member try one an online vendor like lexuspartsnow.com probably way cheaper than the dealer!

Thanks Man and I was somewhat surprised too, but I hit a freaking newly formed crater on the Interstate square and at speed and as soon as I hit it I felt something off. Car was able to see and avoid it in front of me, but I was stuck between a car and truck with no time or place to divert. Alignment then tires later, the dealership discovered the rim. No visible damage on the outside however.

I did purchase the wheel and tire warranty from Safeguard (through Lexus) when I purchased the car new and they are dragging their feet and hinting they may try to repair it. Not sure I want a compromised rim on a GSF so was seeing what is out there as a fallback.

Anyone ever file a claim with Safeguard?

I've had wheels fixed at Wheel Wizard in Atlanta, and they're really one of the very best. If they can't fix it, it really can't/shouldn't be fixed, and they will tell you pretty quickly if that's the case. They did the black conversion on my 2014 IS F wheels, and they came out spectacular. I wouldn't hesitate to try them first.

or as I posted in your other post:

Those forums are really the correct to look for items you want to buy.

This is JUNK. Do not order anyt replica wheel because the OEM Wheels are Forged.
I think new from the dealer is about $2400~2600 per wheels BUT you should have some good luck finding a used OEM Genuine one.

Sorry to hear about your rim with the pothole, hopefully they just get you a replacement.

I hit a huge pothole just coming onto the highway last week, thankfully I was not going very fast but I winced when I heard the loud boom.

Thanks guys and I ended up getting my rim repaired from the shop Lobuxracer recommended and they made it perfectly round again. $140 including tire dismount, mount and balance.

While I was there, I was amazed what they could and were doing with expensive and custom rims I would have tossed.

They rock. For real. Been using them ever since I got to Atlanta in '07 and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Yes they do. While there, a dude brought in a sweet rear tire/rim from his Viper that he looped and curbed and was significantly bent and rashed. Viper owner thought rim was toast (so did I), specialist looked at it, laughed, told him he could make it spin and look as good as new for $240 and I was there when he picked it up and we were both shocked. The place must have had 15+ employees working there and all doing rims or coating calipers.
