im running 19x8.5 with +18 but the only part that its rubbing is where the bumper and fender line up. i was just wondering if pulling the fender will do the trick? im running a 215/35/19 by the way
I can't really say without seeing where you're actually rubbing.
lol. the trouble with fitting aggressive wheels on coils is that when u go up/down a driveway, the wheel well go into the tire well and the lip will get messed up.. and the only solution to that is to get tires that will protect the lip (so that the tire will rub the fenders) or not run aggressive wheels. when i had 19x9.5 +15 (just testing out the rims with a spacer) the rims would go into the fender when i go into a driveway and the lip would grind against the fenders.. lame. we need camber kits!
Not really. The picture I posted of the black IS is at driving/ride height. Also, the white one is driving in one of the pictures.
I see what you're saying out the lip rubbing the body, but technically, as the suspension goes lower, the wheels also camber in. So if the fitment is pretty good, the wheels shouldn't touch the body.
Driving height.
All the way down. If the body kit didn't touch the ground, the car can roll at this height.

Not really, as this car has neither. This is an old picture and he now has different wheels, but that is his everyday ride height and he doesn't have air. 19x9 +19, 19x10 +22.
im speaking from experience, that car you showed with 19x10 +22 is about the limit to how aggressive you can go without almost messing up your rims. i've ran 19x9.5 +15 before and when i went up a driveway, the fender liner grinded my lip. the tires i ran were 225/35/19. and my height was tucking to the top of the lip of my rims, my fenders are completely shaved but not pulled.. unless you are referring to people being able to running aggressive wheels with a pull, then yes its possible. and from that picture, that does NOT look like 19x10 +22 at all.
i meant the people with air cheating as in they can run more aggressive wheels compared to people with just coilovers that can only lower to a certain height, so in result they cant run as aggressive rims.

I guess I didn't mention that white car has a major pull. But trust me, it is 19x10 +22 in the rear. http://og-made.com/archives/973

Not my intention at all. But the cars and pictures don't lie. My friend with the black 350 is strongly considering ditching the air for some nice coilovers. He shouldn't have to buy new wheels just because he took out the air, should he?
im just speaking of people that still want the stock body.. without pulls. but yes of course if you pull the fender anything is possible. but most people don't like to pull.
your friend with the black 350 should worry about driveways.. depending on the height he's at, because if it's too low and the wheels are too aggressive.. theres honestly nowhere for the lip to go except the fender. i mean going straight is fine, but you gotta think about those uneven driveways.
i don't know for sure but i think the camber you get from coilovers and bags might be just a little bit different..
