AGGRESSIVE ISX50 wheel thread
JohnyBoy I have much respect for your knowledge, and from one club vertex member to another, your car is truly fantastic. I honestly believe that you have a firm understanding of what it takes to reach the limit of aggressiveness. You are right though, air makes all the difference in being able to ride fully slammed compared to creeping over speed bumps and driveways ALL THE TIME. With air there is no compromise
. In hawaii we do it a little different...we take a rim and make the car fit the rim, by whatever means is necessary this is what I was taught. I guess that's kind of the point 808GS was trying to make, Aggressive rims is a relative term. The way I see it, don't let the size and offset intimidate your choices. In hawaii Rev01 is the legend of aggressive rims and to this day is one of the select few who are pushing the envelope on a regular basis. He is where all of our knowledge comes from.
I dont think pull the fender will help prevent tire rub on low offset rim.. IMO low offset rims is good for airbag ride because they dont worry about rubbing and mess up the fenders.. FOr coilover people, I believe the offset will be good like 35 and up for front rims.. The front rims with high offset push in the fender and have more room clearnace between bumper and fender.... So it is my opinion..
well the only part that is rubbing is the part where the fender meets the front bumper. i think it has something to do with that tab and the bolt that supports it, any ideas on relocating it?
Whats up everyone, figured I would start here first for my question/dilemna. Currently, I am running 275/30-19 Toyo T1R's on a 19x9.5, +42 wheel for my rear wheels. I recently added an Ichiba VER2 15mm spacer, which I think would bring my offset to +27. I had my rear fenders cut in the past at Backyard when I had my lip kit installed. When I added the spacers, I began rubbing in the rear, and could not figure out where, which is why I am posting to see if anybody here had the same issues. I have since raised my rear about an inch and a half to try to prevent any more rubbing. I am also considering getting a different tire setup, maybe 265/35-19? Here are a few pictures of my setup:

I recently found these slight gouges on my tire, again, tried to find the source, but none found

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Richard - love your ride bro, soooo clean.
Are there specific instances where you can hear the rubbing? I would definitely change that rear tire to 265/35/19. It's closer to the stock diameter, and looking at your pics you could use a smidge less wide tire in the back. That'll probably take care of the rubbing issues you have. Good luck!
